non-local

non-locality is a quantum phenomena implied in the Bell Theorem  which suggests that a given system can not be fully understood by observing what happens in a given locality only. What Einstein called "spooky action-at-a-distance",  is somewhat similar to the following idea: when we look at one hand of a piano player moving over the keyboard, and then look at the second hand, wondering how the first hand influences the second, we marginalize the piano player who is actually a non-local aspect of both hands, an organizing principle that influences both simultaneously. When working with organizations, we may find a particular attitude in one person in an isolated department, and later the same attitude in the executive committe, without finding a causal connection between the two. Working on one aspect or branch of an organization often seems to have system wide effects that cannot always be easily explained.
